Ancient fortified colony, El Jadida is a Moroccan coastal city, located at one hour drive from Casablanca. The fortifications, with their bastions and ramparts, constitute an early example of the Renaissance military architecture. From this Portuguese period, we shall note the tank and the Assumption church. Real example of influence exchange between European and Moroccan culture, El Jadida kept its own particular atmosphere. Endowed with a soft climate, it became a seaside center because of its beaches, in the point to be nicknamed Deauville of Morocco.
